Encounters With The Flat Lands! But First.....

We took a bit of a trip out to Alberta, the next province over from British Columbia here from where I live in Canada. Alberta is different in some ways but ever so beautiful in its unique ways. I love visiting Alberta, but I would so miss the mountains, the wildlife and the forests...

On the way to Alberta, we spotted a lot of wildlife.
I did manage to spot these guys. Sorry for the poor pictures. It was dark but I did the best I can without spooking them and they were off in the distance. I had to shoot them from the window of my Jeep.

I have to say, traveling through, I saw the mountains disappear and nothing but flat lands and farms appeared. Now I'm not used to farms and cows. So the smell was something I was enduring for many many miles and WOW... it was something!! Cows are amazing! HA! But I am sure all this land makes GOOD money but I already missed my mountains...

Amazing how you can see the road way ahead in flatter areas, no corners around mountains, that was so cool!
I have more pictures of my prairie encounters in the future posts!

Wow, Michele, those Elk are awesome with their antlers in velvet. We have Elk about 2 hours from here, but don't get to see them much.
Hope you and Marcel are having a wonderful day.

Love your photos Michele. I didn't think about flat land in Alberta. When we visited that province we were in the heart of the majestic Rockies. Interesting to see a variety of scenery - but your mountains are the best to come home to!!

I have epilepsy but I don't let that pull me down or control what I love to do in life.
Along with medications I am trying to control the seizures. People with seizures often suffer more from the attitudes of those around them than from the seizures itself.... for more information, contact the Epilepsy website here or talk to your local health unit.
