But I really enjoyed these homes of the little birds that darted in and out of these holes. They were quick and smooth as they soared into their circular homes.
I wonder though how these hills don't cave in with all these holes but I suppose they are spaced well apart.
What bird does these? I know someone out there knows. I just adore the architectural look of this, it is fascinating! What do you think?

9 Mountain Climbers:
WOW - what neat homes they've built! I'm thinking maybe a cliff swallow - but really not sure.
Whatever it is - it sure is NEAT!
In Italy, the pigeons would roost inside volcanic rock mountains and there were holes like this. But I don't imagine it'd be pigeons there. I wonder....VERY fascinating!
Mesa Verde - for the birds?
This is way cool, Michele
Have a lovely weekend

That is really cool! Dont know what they would be either?
Very pretty! Possibly Cliff swallows?
This is amazing! You don't suppose they poked out the holes themselves from rock? Wow!
Hi Michelle. Over here we call them Sand Martins (Riparia riparia) but for you they are called Bank Swallows.
Cheers FAB.
I've seen these homes in cliffsides. I agree, it's swallows.
That is the nicest apartment block I have ever seen!
