Ospreys Upon Light Beacon- CC

A bit back when I took the ferry, I spotted a couple of Osprey up on the light beacon.
Photos are not perfect as the ferry ride was not stable, it was indeed a very bumpy ride! I apologize for picture quality.

Michele: How very cool, I got a hawk on a light pole yesterday and felt blessed. Your shot is so beautiful with the nest.

Those two osprey are adorable. Your picture quality is perfectly clear. I don't think you've ever taken a bad picture. These are no exception. Have a great day.

Certainly a safe place to nest and enjoy central heating as well.
Great shots even with the movement.

looks like they feel quite at home up there, since they are nesting.

The Osprey are cool, they have taken over both cell phone towers in our town! One by where I used to work, I remember waiting for the babies every year, and they call and call and call, feed me feed me feed me! LOL

I think the photo's are excellent Michele! I can just feel the tranquility in these shots and that's a great feeling to convey.

The nest sure looks small. Were they still working on it? It's high time I checked on our local Osprey down the street!

Great shots! One winter a few years ago we had an Ospreys winter at a local lake, and got to see them several times.

What wonderful sights of lake and mountains. The osprey photos are great. Visited Lake Superior this week and I do miss seeing large bodies of water. All we see is corn and beans. Take care.

These look sharp to me. How could it be so bumpy when there are not much waves? Maybe it just doesn´t show in the pictures.

Julie said...

Great shots, the photos turned out great even with the bumpy ride.

I think this is a neat post with the osprey. The nest doesn't look too strong and reminds me of the poor nesting habits of our mourning doves. Lots of doves and or dove eggs just fall through the cracks or fall out of the nests they build.

The shots from a distance are beautiful Michelle! The colors in these shot are fantastic!

Although ospreys are sighted frequently in my area and one of my favorite photo-subjects I have never found them nesting here.

I was going to say something like the Retired Lady said, but not as well as she did. In a previous post you mentioned the heat. The weather sure is goofy this year. Here in Nebraska, we have had a cool July, with temps getting up to 90 only twice. My husband and I are sitting on our deck, and I have long sleeves on. I imagine we will be getting your heat when it leaves your area.
