Went fishing at a great alpine lake yesterday and it will be the subject of the next few post in the days that I can get on the computer.
It is an awesome place... still snow lies around, the water is extremely cold but the sights will warm your soul!
Please click on the pictures to see a bit of a bigger view...
You can see how cold the water is by this shot. Our aim is to take our belly boats across the lake to the snow pack...
Just to show you the road to get to this place... an example. Mind you, this is a nice part of the road... =)
Here is Hubby fishing at one at snow pack along side of a mountain... not quite at the snowpack we wanted to get to... but the twinkle in the water is just mesmerizing!
That is me off in the distance inching closer to the mountains, taking it slowly... it's a long way.
And that is me way out there again, still paddling away, fishing to my heart's content, and aiming for our goal. Those little water falls down the mountains are amazing and they sound just beautiful!
I'll finish this story soon.

Oh,Michele, that looks cold! But also like so much fun!
What's a belly boat? Do you lie in it face down?
Beautiful! I can almost feel the coldness of the water! Can't wait to see more of your breathtaking photos!
What an amazing lake and the place! The green color of the lake and the peaks patched with the snow give some special look and feeling to the place you’ve had a fortunate to enjoy personally. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos and moments with us. I am looking forward to another series of photos.

Looks cold though.
What a magical place. Yes, the water in those mountain lakes is C-o-l-d!
good to see you out in the lake...wish i could join you out there and RELAX.
Absolutely beautiful! I think I would be so taken with the scenery I wouldn't even need a rod and reel. I want to come to BC so bad...
I'm glad you got off for such a wonderful excursion. We leave tomorrow to camp with the grandkids for four days. I'm itching to leave NOW. But I have a meeting tonight and the potato salad to make.
Hi Michele, It makes me so happy to see you and hubby out there on that water. You deserve this kind of day ---every day of your life. The water may be cold---but it is just gorgeous. Seeing those mountains and that left-over snow is mind-boggling. GORGEOUS!!!
Hope you are feeling GREAT this week.
Hugs,
Betsy
Michele! Canada looks like Norway! And Norway is my favourite country, so I think that Canada also a place I should like to live in! Again great shots Michele. Have a great week.

What kind of bait are you using? What kind of fish can you catch there?

Very Beautiful! I need to visit someday!
What a wonderful place Michele. I love fishing, and would sit there all day I'm afraid.
B.
What a magnificent place, Michele! The lake astonishing, with that green reflection and the mountains all around. Great sequence, and it displays so quickly!
Ahhhh... this is so beautiful. Can I send my brother to you? He is such a devout fisherman and Hawaii is running out of fish. He would love fishing with you guys. :-)
Simply Beautiful
Michele, you live in such beautiful surroundings! I don't think I'd spend any time inside if I had such gorgeous scenery all around me. :)
So peaceful. So beautiful. Sooo cold! Thank you for giving us these lovely photos.
What a wonderful trip !!!!
What a beautiful place. Sounds like so much fun Michele. You capture it so well with your glorious shots.
Amazing beautiful place. Thanks for sharing
So that's a regular "mini-glacier?" What a beautiful setting! I'd be forgetting to fish, just too busy looking at the scenery!
WOW! Lovin' these shots and the tale that goes with it.
It sure looks beautiful.....and COLD....has it warmed up there yet? nice shots, Michelle!
These are some amazing shots Michele. That water definitely looks cold. The snowpack your husband is close to almost looks like concrete to me. Glad you enjoyed the fishing but please don't fall in the water. I don't think you'd be able to ever warm your bones again. Have a great night.
Oh Michele, this looks too good to be true (except for the cold).
Snowpack--reminds me of my crazy 15-hour climb up and down the Ortstock several years ago when the glaciers on the Swiss Alps were starting to melt and disappear for the first time in history. Near the top I encountered a snowpack and there was no way around. Friends down in the village had warned me not to walk on snow. Several hikers had already disappeared doing so.
I was alone and feared I'd be swallowed into the hollowness under the crust. I prayed a lot that hour...
But now I have the story to tell. :)
Enjoy your adventures in the beautiful country you have all the time, right there!
I am so glad that you are fishing again - it is wonderful.
