The Oasis Trail

We took a high mountain path into the Rocky Mountain District....
beautiful lush forests... and dusty trails. Just the way I like 'em!

We enter this little area by a stream that is incredibly cool and the air is sweet! The water is pure and clean.

Symbols out of rocks and stones lay about the forest floor... I had to take some photos.

This was intriguing... a bench constructed by branches and wood and it does support the weight of sitting down! Now, who would do this in the middle of a forest?!? Beautiful.

Wonderful! I took a picture of a rock sculpture and someone wrote to me and told me they were called "cairns".

Doesn't it make you wonder who made those rock sculptures and the bench? What were they thinking? I'm sure it was pure appreciation of the land.
