Storm Brewing Over Mountains- Skywatch Friday

Photobucket
When we arrived here 30 mins. prior to this shot, it was a beautiful sunny and clear sky. The skies up here are temperamental. Be prepared when traveling up to your alpine mountains because they can rain or snow on you when you least expect it!
British Columbia Mountains Scenic,Stormy skies, rocks and pebbles so brightly colored

Please don't forget to see Tom for the Sky Watch blogroll!

Michele,
I hope you'll forgive me for coming back and leaving a long comment. I just read the Writer's Almanac for today, and this poem made me think of your photo!

For All

by Gary Snyder

Ah to be alive
on a mid-September morn
fording a stream
barefoot, pants rolled up,
holding boots, pack on,
sunshine, ice in the shallows,
northern rockies.

Rustle and shimmer of icy creek waters
stones turn underfoot, small and hard as toes
cold nose dripping
singing inside
creek music, heart music,
smell of sun on gravel.

I pledge allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the soil
of Turtle Island,
and to the beings who thereon dwell
one ecosystem
in diversity
under the sun
With joyful interpenetration for all.
