Walking a few days ago, I noticed the Canada goose was left with only one gosling. Now mother goose was very protective of this final one which I don't blame her so I really had to zoom in, so forgive the quality of the photos.

35 Mountain Climbers:
You should be very proud of these photos and this last duckling. The mom was probably doing her best to protect the others but a pack of something probably diverted her and the others took the babies. Here, where I live, turtles will also take the young ones.
Thanks for your visit.
There is nothing bad in the quality of the photos, Michele. Your photos are just great as always. The mother goose is beautiful and really looks like very protective of her baby which is so cute.
Great shots.
I always smile when you say the picture is not that good. I wish my pictures came out half as good as the ones you say aren't good. :-)
Have a Happy Day.
How beautiful! And your photos below are also very beautiful.
Great!
Thank you for sharing..
Thank you for offering to post a link to my blog on your site. I will do the same. If you ever come west we have lots of places to explore with unspoiled natural settings. - Margy
Wow! I wish my photos were half as good as the ones you apologize for their quality! I thought these were beautiful! Awesome shots!
Very cute the subjects of your photographs!
How precious! I think the quality of these pictures is wonderful! I love this time of year when we can see all the babies.

Oh- that baby goose is so cute! We haven't seen any around here yet but we keep watching.
Ohhhh sweeet! I love the little yellow fuzzy!!
So cute! I would not have seen these if not for your pictures.
Great post, Michele! Love the goose but it is sad that only one gosling is left. How lonely for that one gosling. But how cute he is too. Love your close-ups.

ahhhhh. Why are you apologizing for the picture quality? They are fabulous. My mom has lots of geese around her lake house in Ohio. She gets upset with them because they leave such messes. I love watching them (but don't tell her)
so adorable! :D
Good morning darling!! :-D finally I'm able to see your blog! I don't know what happened but it has given me a run time error all the times I was clicking on your link! :-( so sorry! :-D but now I'back and these photos are incredibly tender!!
I send you a big hug and thanks for your visit!
:-P yes I'm reorganizing the link column and I've realised that some names has desappered! I'll correct it asap! Kiss :-D dear!

your close ups are fantastic. excellent work again
This is so touching dear. New life is always so fascinating. =) Don't belittle the shots, they are great! I can even see the water droplets on the little one. =)
HUGs to you my dear, these photos cheer me up. Thanks for being concerned all the time. My wrists need time to get better but I hope your hand is doing fine.
I hope this last one as better luck..
Michele: Very nicely done, I still see snow on the ground. These are great photos.
The geese here are surviving very well. I saw 5 geese families at the pond I pass and they are doing really well.
So cute. Your pictures always look great. I need to take photography lessons from you.
Very lovely photos. The gosling is so cute! :)
Those are wonderful shots of the last baby. I hope this one makes it. I'm very impressed with how good your shots are. I can imagine how protective the mother must be. The Canadian geese where I live are very aggressive, especially this time of year.
The gosling is gorgeous! So sweet. IT's sad the goose has only one gosling left...
I pop in for sky watch later :)
The gosling is precious.
And your cat on http://picturethisanocommentblog.blogspot.com/ is wonderful. So close I can almost feel his whiskers.
Thanks for your visits and thoughtful comments.
Very nice photos, Michele...as ALWAYS! You know I loike your works.
And now I am commentor #28, that's great! As I wrote you already, I wish I would have so many visitors to my site...and it's understandable that I'm concerning and asking myself too, if people don't like my "stuff" anymore...:-)
What great shots! I just was taking photos of geese and their goslings yesterday! However, I guess I don't have nearly as nice of a lens as you do. There was no way I could get in that close.
Beautiful!!
I'm with Abraham Lincoln ~You should be very proud of these photos...These are so good! You always have amazing photos..I love canadian geese, but have never seen one of their gooselings up close like this, wow just fantastic captures...I could look at these over and over again! You should have your photos published they are incredible!! :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Wow!!! I love these!!
Cat

That first picture is just perfect!
What gorgeous photos! Your blog is awesome.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!!
The last duckling is so cute. I hope he/ she makes it into adulthood without any problems. And, there's nothing wrong with the quality of your photos. I can only wish for this kind of quality in my pictures.
